DraftSight: Edit Frame and Title Block

Visit DraftSight.com to explore DraftSight 2019 and learn how you can experience the freedom to do more with a better 2D drafting and 3D design experience.

Following last post covering how to add Drawing Frames and Title Blocks into your DraftSight designs, this blog will be focusing on how to edits those features after insertion.

As previously mentioned, including distinct labels into your drawings ensures that they accurately reflect your ideas to your readers – making them a crucial component to any professional CAD drawing.

That said, the inclusion of more detail likely increases the need for updates as your drafts evolve overtime. For example, if a contractor made edits or suggestions to your drawing, your checked dates or approval information may need to be revised.

Thankfully, DraftSight makes altering your Frames and Title Blocks as easy as it is to insert them.

Simply locate and press the Edit icon in the Frame section of the Toolbox tab in the ribbon. It’s conveniently positioned right next to Insert…  for quick accessibility upon Frame and Title insertion.

Once selected, you’ll be prompted to specify your Frame or Title in the drawing display, and an options window will appear containing your previously entered information. Then, just make necessary edits, press OK, and voila!

I hope this post encourages you to alter your Frames and Title Blocks with the Edit feature!
