Productivity is an endless pursuit that is universal across any industry and team size. It is also exceedingly subjective. The same tool or technique might not affect one user while having a dramatic impact on another.

Often, the biggest challenge facing users and administrators when it comes to these “tips and tricks” is finding out they exist. Most people are too busy to be constantly on the lookout for these ideas, especially if there’s a chance they might not work for them. This is why we not only created a session on Tips, Tricks and time-saving secrets for DraftSight, we decided to put a considerable amount of them on display to increase the likelihood that attendees will find several tips that can add up to significant gains.

In this session, we’ll attempt to group these tips into categories that address new ways to use the user interface, drawing tools, system and drawing options and other categories to showcase the wide variety of ways that even small improvements can make a huge difference in not only productivity but also user satisfaction, which is a source of productivity that is too often overlooked.

Here’s a quick example: Did you know that DraftSight can launch up to eight different commands simply by right-clicking and then dragging the mouse in a specific direction? No, There is no need for using a toolbar or even a keyboard shortcut. Speaking of which, your entire keyboard could be programmed to launch tools, and using the Ctrl key, Shift key, or both along with a keystroke, can launch four different commands!

There are hundreds of ways to make your job easier, but we’ll focus on around 60 tips in this session. I also want to reserve time to find out which ones you like most or to share the tips that you use that I haven’t included. This will be a fun session, and I’m sure everyone will learn something useful, including me, by understanding what has the biggest impact on you.
