Why Can’t I Select Multiple Entities?

So, there I was, trying desperately to beat the deadline to get a set of drawings completed and returned to the engineer in charge of the project, when I noticed that I could no longer select more than one entity at a time.

It was working minutes before hand, so what had I accidentally clicked on?  To say I was stumped, completely perplexed, was an understatement!

It turns out that I’d accidentally enabled Replace Current Selection Set feature on the Properties Dialogue Box.

By clicking on this icon again, I re-enabled the Add to Current Selection Set.

It’s a simple little thing, but one that you can spend quite a bit of time finding out just what you might have clicked on by accident.
