Customer Stories – Haenen Design Studios

Based in Culver City, California, Haenen Design Studios is a brand identity and interior design consultancy.  Founded in 2014 by Principal Designer, Christine Haenen, they create timeless elegance and interior spaces that clients love by pairing sophisticated colour and furniture choices with functionality and flow.

 

As a student, Haenen developed her CAD skills using AutoCAD, but like many others, she needed a more cost effective solution when she started her own design studio.  She says “I had used a student version of AutoCAD, but a commercial license was too expensive, so I needed a more affordable 2D design and drawing package.” Haene tried a few other packages including SketchUp, but could not find one that worked for her.

As luck would have it, an architect friend suggested DraftSight to her.  It was, as many AutoCAD users have found out, an easy transition to DraftSight. She says “Using DraftSight, it’s very easy to develop a drawing of the space on which I’m working.”

So, over all, what did the move to DraftSight result in for Haenen Design Studios? Well, it did the following:

  • Created interior design drawings at a fraction of the cost.
  • Realised ability to match interior design concepts to clients’ vision.
  • Improved communication of interior design concepts.
  • Achieved optimal spacing of design elements
